Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Manual machine set up and operate such operations as Drilling, Tapping, Reaming and Graining
CNC Machine set up and operate such operations as cutting, bending, punching and insert installation
CNC Programming by creating precise digital instructions that tell computer‑controlled machines how to cut, shape, and manufacture components with accuracy and repeatability
Welding training in disciplines such as spot welding and stud welding, including MIG and TIG welding
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
