Summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are working with a food production company and are looking for a Hygienist with immediate starts available!

You’ll be a key part of the hygiene and production team, helping to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and product preparation across the site.

Your duties will include:

• Working in a chilled, refrigerated environment
• Deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, and machinery
• Following strict hygiene and health & safety protocols
• Using cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning tools
• Completing cleaning records and relevant documentation
• Supporting the hygiene supervisor to meet daily targets
• Assisting with food preparation tasks as required
• Using basic knife skills to trim, portion, or prepare ingredients under supervision
• Ensuring safe handling of food products during cleaning and preparation

About you:

• Comfortable working in a cold environment
• Confident using cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Strong attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards
• Previous hygiene or cleaning experience in a food production or factory setting is highly desirable
• Enjoys working as part of a team and following procedures
