Summary

o To manage the day to day sales function.
o To ensure the necessary disciplines are maintained throughout the organisation to guarantee the integrity of MRP output.
o To ensure sales orders and quotations are actioned on a daily basis and maintain RFE/RFQ log.
o To liaise with customers and ensure their queries are answered promptly and efficiently..
o To ensure that relevant Customer Schedule information is fully up to date prior to the major weekly MRP run.
o To complete all required customer specific documentation in a timely manner.
o To ensure that schedules i.e. build plans, pack lists and manufacturing orders, are presented to the shop floor, packing area in a timely manner with maximum stability.
o Liaise with designated customers on schedule requirements/performance.
o To be jointly responsible for Sales and Despatch KPI’s – Delivery Performance and Customer Satisfaction.
o To work under own initiative to ensure smooth running of day to day requirements.
o To maintain customer Purchase Orders, customer price and cross reference files.
o To co-ordinate import / export transport and necessary shipping documentation.
o To be responsible for arranging the most cost effective method of shipping ad-hoc parcels / documents.
o To operate customer communications system as necessary, working with customers or third party IT personnel to correct any problems.
o To communicate with customers regarding shipping information to maintain positive customer relations, with ASN and EDI systems as required.
o To understand and adhere to any customer specific requirements.
o To ensure availability of packaging and place orders with relevant suppliers. Track expenditure and review cost down opportunities.
o To react to customer problem issues that may arise and take appropriate action in line with Company procedures.
