Summary
The job role of Practitioner Playworker is to assist the staff team in the delivery of high quality play opportunities for children aged 5-11 in an out-of-school environment.
A relevant childcare qualification for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as Practitioner Playworker is desirable for this post, as is previous experience of working with primary-aged children, ideally in an out-of-school setting.
Fully funded, accredited courses in Social Services and Young People (SVQ3), Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection and Safeguarding and Food Safety and Hygiene will be offered to all Practitioner staff within their first year of employment with Skool Is Out, subject to eligibility, terms and conditions.
All childcare workers must also be a member of the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) scheme or undergo a PVG membership update prior to working with any vulnerable group. The cost of PVG scheme membership is covered by the candidate and any subsequent updates will be paid for by Skool Is Out.
Please note, all offers of employment are contingent upon receipt of a completed Application Form, two employment references and successful registration with the PVG scheme.
We currently have vacancies for both permanent and flexible positions.
