Summary
Chef De Partie
Location: Knebworth House, Knebworth
Salary: Up to £16 per hour
Contract: Zero-hour contract, working across a 7 day a week operation, including weekends and evenings.
We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our busy and successful catering team at Knebworth House on a flexible, zero-hour basis. As part of our kitchen brigade, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality food for our visitors and events, working within a hard-working, friendly team who share the same goal – creating exceptional dining experiences.
Shifts
Shifts will vary between Monday and Sunday, including weekends and evenings. As a zero-hour contract role, hours will vary depending on the needs of the business on a weekly basis.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard in line with menus and portion specifications.
Assist in the smooth operation of the kitchen during service, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of dishes.
Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and support stock rotation.
Contribute to menu planning, special event catering, and daily kitchen organisation.
Take initiative in a busy kitchen environment and help ensure smooth teamwork.
Our ideal Chef de Partie will:
Have at least 1-year experience as a Chef De Partie
Have a genuine passion for cooking and delivering exceptional dishes.
Be an excellent team player with strong communication skills.
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work under pressure.
Take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Show creativity and a willingness to contribute to menu ideas.
Ideally, have prior experience in a similar kitchen role, including experience with catering for events or high-volume service.
