Your new company
Desian Education and proud to be supporting a Winsford-based single form-entry primary school that is at the heart of its local community as they require a motivated and reliable teaching assistant for a long-term full-time contract.
This school are opened planned with minimal doors with an extremely experienced and supportive senior leadership team that are requiring an experienced 1:1 teaching assistant to join the KS1 cohort to support 2 female pupils in year 1 on a 1:1 basis. You will split your time across your two pupils equally, ensuring that their individual developmental and attainment needs are met and at the heart of all operations. Your pupils are close friends and can often times play off each other and escalate behaviours within the classroom so you will be required to implement an array of positive behaviour strategies. Other duties will include:
• Interventions and boosters in core subjects
• Phonics sessions/assessments using RWI
• Supporting during break and lunch times
• Implementation of positive behaviour strategies including DOJO/reward charts, movement breaks, brain breaks, positive reinforcement, etc
What you need to succeed
To be considered in your application you must have full “Right to Work” in the UK, relevant referenceable experience supporting KS1 and/or KS2, and:
• Good knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum
• Experience supporting SEN; developmental and behavioural needs is advantageous
• An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
