Summary

About the role:

We are looking for Outreach Assistants to join the Future U central team. Future U is a collaborative outreach programme bringing together universities, colleges, schools and businesses across Lancashire. Part of the Office for Students Uni Connect Programme, we support young people to overcome barriers, fulfil their potential and increase progression to Level 4 study and beyond.

The Outreach Assistant roles will support the delivery of our programme of impartial activities in schools and colleges across Lancashire. Alongside delivering activities, the Outreach Intern will work closely and support the wider project team to support administrative tasks crucial to the programme. This role will involve working collaboratively with various stakeholders and with the wider Future U team to deliver project objectives.

We are recruiting to three vacancies at 14.5 hours per week, but we may be able to be flexible with the number of hours worked and this can be discussed further at the interview stage.

About you:

You’ll be an excellent communicator who has experience of working with young people, ideally in a school or college setting. You will be able to follow processes, be organised and able to manage your time effectively when balancing a varied and fast paced calendar, and be confident using IT, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

An undergraduate degree or equivalent experiential learning and a fully clean driving licence with access to a vehicle with class 1 business insurance are essential for this role.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.

What we can offer you:

Our people are our most important asset. We’ll encourage you to make the most of your talents and continually develop your skills and knowledge. As well as realising your career ambitions, you’ll be making a positive difference to other people’s lives. We also offer a fantastic package of rewards and lifestyle benefits – from an attractive annual leave entitlement to access to a comprehensive employee benefits platform.
