As a Business Support Officer, you’ll be an essential part of a friendly, solution-focused team. You’ll play a key role in keeping the service running smoothly, supporting colleagues and partners, and helping us deliver efficient, environmentally responsible services for our communities.

Main Responsibilities

Some of your responsibilities will include

  • Ability to perform effectively in a busy and demanding operational environment.
  • To process financial elements including purchase orders, invoices, grant payments, tonnage reports etc and record all transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail in relation to data management and routine reporting.
  • Liaise with Suppliers, members of the Public and Stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to day-to-day enquiries, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Provide general administrative support, including taking action notes of stakeholder meetings.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for you to,

  • Possess a Business Administration qualification, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Be able to work proactively individually and as part of a team.
  • Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Have confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Have strong analytical ability to collate, interpret data.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a can-do attitude, flexible, positive and collaborative
