Summary

About the Role:
As Senior Caregiver, you will assist our team of nurses and senior healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care in the community, visiting individuals in their homes. You will be responsible for providing essential care to the sick and injured, ensuring the best outcomes for those under your supervision. Your leadership will guide and support our care teams, ensuring a seamless service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in caring for individuals within their homes and across the wider community.
Experience in tracheostomy and other invasive devices.
Provide specialist care, including PEG feeding, NG tube care, bowel care, control IQ insulin pump management, CPAP, and ventilation.
Lead and supervise a team of caregivers, providing guidance and support as required.
Respond to emergencies and support the team on-call as part of a rota, ensuring 24/7 care provision.
Carry out holistic assessments, including personal care such as washing, dressing, eating, and drinking, in line with CQC regulated standards.
Follow Peartree Life Care’s Nursebuddy and Citation care plan prescription system, ensuring accurate care plan updates and assessments.
Support service users with health, welfare, and social needs, including attending medical appointments, administering medication, and promoting community independence.
Maintain accurate care records and comply with safeguarding protocols.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or in progress.
Full UK driving licence.
Competent in PEG, NG tube care, bowel care, control IQ insulin pump, CPAP, and ventilation.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
English-speaking essential, bilingual is a bonus.
Safeguarding awareness – you will be expected to read, understand, and adhere to Peartree Life Care’s Safeguarding Policy.
