Summary

Production Engineer

Exeter | Permanent | Up to £45,000 per annum DOE

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Production Engineer to support a busy metal fabrication and assembly operation in Exeter.

This is a hands-on role focused on improving how things are made. You will work directly with production teams to increase efficiency, reduce waste, resolve manufacturing issues, and support the introduction of new products into build.

Key Duties
  • Improve fabrication and assembly processes on site.

  • Support new product introduction into production.

  • Review designs to ensure they are practical and cost-effective to manufacture.

  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement projects.

  • Troubleshoot production and quality issues.

  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.

Requirements
  • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent experience).

  • Experience within manufacturing or batch production environments.

  • Good understanding of sheet metal processes.

  • Practical problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
