ReportingtotheDivisionalOperationsDirector,thepostholderwillbeakeymemberofthe NMSKSeniorManagementTeamatNorthBristolNHSTrust,withadottedreportinglineto the Associate Divisional Director Surgery UHBW. They will be accountable for maximising elective activity in Trauma and Orthopaedics (T&O), Rheumatology and Pain across the Bristol Hospital Group and for facilitating the delivery of performance targets across three sites.

Additionally,thepostholderwillleadtheBristolSurgicalCentre,ensuringdeliveryofdefined benefits within the Business Case and sustaining the GIRFT Surgical Hub accreditation process. This will involve strategic system-wide leadership, influencing and collaboration with regional and national commissioners and stakeholders.

The post holder requires strong leadership, influencing and team-building skills. They will have significantoperationalmanagementexperienceinanNHSorlargepublicsector organisation, including budget accountability.
• Providesystem-wideleadershipacrossBNSSGT&Oservicessupportingclinical and non-clinical teams.
• Incollaborationwithothermembersofthedivisionalseniormanagementteam, be responsible forthe developmentand deliveryofthe businessplansforT&O services across the Bristol Hospital Group.
• Provide operational oversight, working closely with the General Managers, of the developing Rheumatology and Pain Group Clinical Services.
• Deliverbenefitsrealisation oftheT&O, Rheumatology & PainGroupClinicalServicewithoversightofclinical service integrations across acute, Sirona and primary care.
• Manage departmental budgetstoensureefficientandeffectiveuseofresources and achievement of financial targets.
• Direct line management of Assistant General Managers in T&O across the hospital group.
