SEND Teaching Assistant
Sandfield Close is seeking to appoint an experienced Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The role will be to support a KS1 child on a one-to-one basis. You will need the necessary skills to provide behaviour and learning support.
This is a fixed-term role for one term only from 13th April 2026 until the end of the academic year.
What we offer:
• Salary: Grade 3, Point 5 – FTE £25,583 (Actual £18,887 per annum) (term-time only, 39 weeks)
• 32.5 hours per week (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break),
• Working pattern: Monday – Friday, 8:20am – 3:00pm
Please note: This post is funded through SEND provision and is not a permanent role. Should the supported child leave the school, a four-week notice period will apply.
About the role:
You will:
• Support pupils with ASD, language and communication needs, and SEMH needs
• Deliver personalised 1:1 support and targeted interventions
• Use your initiative and SEND experience to help pupils achieve their targets
• Maintain accurate SEND provision records
• Meet the well-being, personal care, and hygiene needs of our pupils
• Communicate effectively with both children and adults
We are looking for someone who:
• Is caring, patient, and proactive
• Enjoys working in a collaborative school environment
• Has practical knowledge of SEND strategies and interventions
