What will the Payroll Senior role involve?
• Overseeing end-to-end payroll processes for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RTI, auto-enrolment pensions, and CIS schemes
• Managing pension contributions and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations
• Supporting CIS scheme administration, including returns and client liaison
• Collaborating closely with the accountancy team on bookkeeping and financial data reconciliation
• Utilising cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, BrightManager, and Dext
• Providing clear and professional payroll advice to clients, acting as a trusted point of contact
• Mentoring junior staff and assisting in the development of payroll procedures as the team expands
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Senior vacancy:
• Qualified in payroll (CIPP certification, Foundation Degree, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing
• Strong understanding of pension auto-enrolment, compliance, and CIS scheme management
• Comfortable working independently with excellent organisational and communication skills
• Demonstrates attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
