Summary
Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust plan to integrate and form a new organisation on the 1st April 2026. As such, if your start date is on or after 1st April 2026, you will be employed by the newly formed organisation. Should you join Bridgewater prior to this date, your employment will automatically transfer into the new organisation. To provide personal administration and secretarial support for the clinical leads to ensure smooth and efficient running of the service. To maintain a high professional standard in terms of the performance of duties and in terms of general conduct, including maintaining confidentiality. To process referrals into and out of the service on both health and social care electronic systems. To prioritise workload to meet agreed timescales. To act as a pivotal link of the department for all staff. To collate data for clinical audit (or other Trust requirements) and generate reports using appropriate office applications. To organise the induction for new staff and visitors. Typing of clinical letters / medical reports and other correspondence required by the Team. To take and transcribe minutes of approved Trust forums, ensuring they accurately reflect the discussions at the meetings. To be responsible for sourcing, ordering and auditing of clinical supplies and resources. To maintain effective filing and archiving system. To maintain health electronic patient records. To act as the Super User for the patient electronic computer system; undertaking data cleanse of information and checking errors and deliver training advice and support for administrative and clinic staff. To participate in relevant service improvements. To work flexibly across organisational boundaries as required and to present at all times a positive image of the District Nursing Service. Business Continuity To ensure business continuity and support the function of the Warrington District Nursing Service, there will be a requirement to assist with any other administrative duties as required. Communication: To liaise and maintain excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels within the District Nursing Service. To organise meetings as directed. These may require contact with multi agencies requiring the co-ordination of mutually convenient times. To assess and action information received, using own initiative and to refer on to appropriate individual if necessary. To be the first point of contact for clients and offer a professional solution to client queries. To deal with all internal/external mail and redistribution to relevant teams or department. To be able to communicate effectively and professionally both on the telephone and face to face with patients, and other professionals. Professional Development: To participate in protected learning time and attend clinical and administrative staff meetings as required. To participate in the individual performance review system.
