Summary
Are you an an experienced band 6 or already a band 7 Occupational Therapist with a solid background in mental health looking for a new challenge?
Would you thrive working independently in a community setting whilst taking a leadership role and contributing to service improvement?
In this role you will lead and deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and interventions for adults with complex mental health needs in a secondary care, community setting.
This includes managing a complex caseload, providing clinical & professional leadership, supervision, line management duties, and contributing to service development, qualityimprovementsand transformation initiatives.
The team is made up of a fullcomplementof MDT professions, and as a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of the team you will support a positive attitude and commit to providing excellent holistic care.
You will have regular access to Occupational Therapy specific supervision, support,networkingand development opportunities.
This position is full time, permanent, working onsiteor in the communityfive days a week atNHS, Slough New Horizon, Pursers Court, Slough.
Clinical
• Deliver advanced OT assessments,interventionsand outcome measures, using evidence-based, client-centred approaches for adults with complex mental health needs and diverse co-morbidities.
Leadership and Supervision
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior OTs, support workers, apprentices, and students.
Service Development and Governance
• Lead in service evaluation, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Other Duties
• Take a lead on andbe responsible forthe oversight of the rehabilitation programme within the established Supported Housing project.Take a lead on ensuring theprovider is working in a way that is compliant with Local Authority Commissioning Contracts.
• To develop and facilitateco-produced workshops for the Recovery College.

The “must haves” for this role:
• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
• Significant post qualified experience working in Mental Health – Recovery/rehabilitation approaches
• Experience of working in community settings
• Experience of leadership[ / supervision of staff or students
