Summary
Technical Officer
Starting salary between £27423 and £32439 per annum
Based from Heacham Depot, and working across the borough
Are you passionate about maintaining high environmental standards and making a visible difference in your community? We have a rare opportunity for a dedicated and proactive Technical Officer to help ensure our borough remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
This is a hands-on, varied and rewarding position, where you will carry out legislative inspections and manage repair and maintenance works across public spaces, including play areas, public toilets, and other council facilities. You will liaise with community groups, schools, and residents, acting as a key ambassador for the council. With a strong focus on health and safety, you will ensure all work is completed to high standards using appropriate tools and equipment, while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
You will have a recognised inspection and maintenance qualification along with playground inspections and operational inspections with RPII or be able to achieve these. You must have practical maintenance skills, a good understanding of health and safety regulations, and a full UK Cat B manual driving licence.
