About us
The Information Services Division (ISD) is the primary provider of IT services to UCL. We support and enhance learning, teaching, research and administrative processes by providing information- and technologyrelated services to over 50,000 staff and students of UCL and associated institutions.
Within ISD, this post is in IT Service and Operations department which manages the infrastructure and data platforms which underpin UCL's central IT services, including data centres, cloud compute and storage platforms, networks, telephony, communications and collaboration and enterprise applications.
In addition, IT Service and Operations provides an End-to-end Service Management capability, ensuring UCL's IT services are relevant, responsive and resilient.
About the role
Working as a key member of the project team, the Platform & Service Owner for CRM will have full responsibility for ensuring the Platform delivers as much value as possible. You will be responsible for maximising the value from any relevant UCL technology Platform, with full accountability for the quality of the service you provide.
In addition, the Service Owner will understand how their service underpins another business service (such as those offered by HR or Finance), whilst maintaining an effective understanding of the entire service landscape, including boundaries with other services and interdependencies.
About you
The key requirements for this role surround the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience of implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics in a large scale and complex organisational structure.
- You will need a very good understanding of Dynamics and being able to quickly understand new concepts and lead a technical team.
- It is essential that you have good interpersonal skills and can persuade and influence senior stakeholders.
- You will be skilful at facilitating and enabling team collaboration, have knowledge across both delivery and service and be able to manage conflicting priorities.
- Experience working as a Product/Platform Owner role or within an agile environment
- Ability to understand complex customer demands and turn them into easy to understand user stories
- Proactively working with other people, teams, partners and functions for the benefit of the wider institution
