About the Role

As a Service Lead, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of our lively Kingsway supported living service in Skipton. You’ll be supporting three energetic, fun‑loving ladies who enjoy swimming, arts and crafts, going to the gym, discos, musical theatre, and staying active in their community.

Working closely with the Deputy Manager, you’ll provide confident, values‑led leadership while remaining hands‑on and person‑centred. You’ll step up in the Manager’s absence and help ensure a safe, consistent and engaging environment where the ladies are supported to live life their way.

This role is 80% on shift and 20% off shift completing admin, though flexibility is essential as service needs may require full shift‑based working at times.


️ Key Responsibilities


Delivering high‑quality, person‑centred support
Acting as a positive role model and supervising staff
Leading reviews with the ladies and key stakeholders
Developing, reviewing and maintaining support plans and risk assessments
Completing medication and finance audits
Supporting safeguarding processes alongside management
Supporting with household chores, shopping, medication management, and attending appointments
Supporting community activities and daily routines
Leading and contributing to team meetings



Who We Support

In Kingsway, you’ll be supporting three ladies with:


Learning disabilities
Varying levels of independence
Active social lives and community routines


You’ll need to follow detailed support plans to ensure a consistent, safe and empowering approach—always promoting choice, dignity and independence.


✅ What We’re Looking For

Essential:


Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities
Strong understanding of Person‑Centred Care
Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers


Desirable:


Previous experience leading or supervising a team
Full UK driving licence



Working Hours



30 hours per week - full availability required

Mix of short shifts, long shifts, evenings and weekends
Sleepovers included
80% on shift / 20% admin
May be fully shift‑based at times


An enhanced Adult DBS check will be required for this role.
