The proposed job plan is Week 1 & 3 Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday 3 session operating theatre (3PA) Ward round post op (0.5PA) OPD Clinic (2PA) SPA -Research/Education (1PA) MDT, Reflective team meeting, Theatre list planning & email management, Triaging(1PA) Week 2 & 4 Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Ward round (0.5PA) OPD Clinic (2PA) 3 session operating theatre (3PA) SPA -Research/Education (1PA) MDT Reflective team meeting, Theatre list planning & email management, Triaging(1PA) Consultant Spinal Surgeon (with special interest in Paediatric Spine & Trauma)- 10 PA's The Department of Neurosurgery at St Georges Hospital is seeking to appoint aConsultant Spinal Surgeon with a special interest in Paediatric Spine and Trauma. This is a key role within a high-performing and expanding spinal service, supporting the delivery of complex, high-value care for children with spinal deformities and trauma. The successful candidate will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team within one of the UKs busiest neurosurgical units, contributing to elective and emergency spinal surgery, MDTs, training, and service development. The role supports the Trusts commissioned specialist spinal services and plays a vital part in reducing waiting times and improving outcomes for a vulnerable patient group This job plan is open to discussion with the successful candidate. On call: Combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spinal Service 1 in 9 (1 PA) On Call supplement is 3% SPA: 1 SPA for revalidation Weekend The neurosurgery department is committed to performing elective activity at the weekend. This post holder may be invited to carry out elective activity at the weekend alongside other members of the department. On appointment the department are happy to offer the successful candidate job planned weekend working by mutual agreement.
