Working hours: 07:30 – 4:30pm and finish at 3pm Fridays

Salary: up to £35000 per annum

We are now seeking to recruit Fabricator / Fitter for the established sheet metal, welding, and fabrication company specialising in bespoke catering trailers.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced fabricator/fitter to join our team of skilled craftspeople. You’ll be responsible for constructing, fitting out, and finishing bespoke catering trailers to exacting standards. This role centres on precision fitting, panel work, joinery, and finishing — there is no requirement for electrical, plumbing skills.

We welcome applications from Coach Builders, Shop Fitters, Caravan Builders, or anyone with transferable skills in precision fitting, joinery, fabrication and panel construction who is looking to apply their expertise to specialist vehicle builds.

Key Responsibilities

Construction and Assembly

• Construct and assemble catering trailer bodies using aluminium, stainless steel, and composite panels
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders to deliver accurate builds
• Fabricate and fit internal and external framework, ensuring structural integrity
• Install and secure flooring, wall panels, and roof structures to manufacturer and safety standards
• Install doors, hatches, and serving counters with precision fitting
• Fit internal equipment mounting points and support structures
• Apply sealants, trim, and finishing materials to achieve water-tight, professional results
• Install external cladding, signage mounting points, and aesthetic features
• Construct and install internal joinery, counters, shelving, and storage solutions

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in a relevant trade: coach building, shop fitting, joinery, vehicle body building, caravan construction, or precision fitting role
• Strong understanding of panel construction techniques and materials
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Ability to safely lift materials and work in varied physical positions
