The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Technical Lead to join our Facilities Management team. This is a key leadership role responsible for providing technical direction, ensuring compliance, driving engineering standards and supporting operational excellence across the account/portfolio.

This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who thrives on solving complex challenges, improving asset performance, and leading teams to deliver safe, reliable and efficient building services.

Key Responsibilities

-Provide technical leadership across building services and engineering operations.

-Act as the subject matter expert for mechanical, electrical, and building systems.

-Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all assets and activities.

-Support the delivery of PPM, reactive maintenance, and lifecycle projects.

-Drive improvements in reliability, efficiency, and asset performance.

-Lead investigations into technical issues, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

-Guide and mentor engineers and site teams.

-Review and approve technical documentation (RAMS, permits, procedures).

-Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop technical solutions and strategies.

-Identify risks and ensure safe systems of work.

What We're Looking For

-Proven experience in a Technical Lead role.

-Strong technical expertise in M&E / Building Services.

-Sound understanding of statutory compliance and H&S regulations.

-Experience managing technical risk and critical environments.

-Ability to lead, influence and develop engineering teams.

-Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

-Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Qualifications & Experience

-Relevant technical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)

-Recognised industry certifications (e.g., AP/LV, etc.).

-Experience within Facilities Management / Corporate Estates.
