We are a warm, welcoming and forward-thinking Children’s Day Nursery in Gloucester providing outstanding childcare for children aged 0–5 years.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager who is committed to delivering outstanding early years education and leading a team with confidence, positivity and vision.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who wants to feel valued, supported and empowered to make a real difference. You will oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and compliance are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Leading, inspiring and managing the nursery team to deliver exceptional childcare in line with the EYFS framework
Overseeing the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of safety, care and education
Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements and safeguarding policies
Managing staffing, ratios, recruitment, supervisions and performance management
Driving quality improvement and maintaining outstanding practice across all rooms
Building strong relationships with children, parents, staff and external agencies
Monitoring children’s learning, development and outcomes
Managing occupancy, budgets and overall nursery performance
Supporting staff training, development and career progression
Working closely with the senior leadership team and Head Office
Working Hours

40 hours per week
4 or 5 days per week
Shifts between 7:30am – 6:30pm
No weekends
Requirements

Full & relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above desirable)
Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements
Proven leadership and team management experience
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A genuine passion for early years education and child development
Right to work in the UK
