Site Administrator / Weighbridge Operative

Salary: From £30,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Friday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
We are looking for a Site Administrator / Weighbridge Operative to join our team at Hartley Quarry. This is a key site‑based role, acting as the first point of contact for customers and drivers, ensuring accurate weighbridge operations, compliance, and smooth day‑to‑day site administration in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities
Answer customer and supplier queries via telephone and email
Collate day sheets and process data using WeighSoft
Take orders and payments over the phone
Allocate supplier PODs against invoices
Filing and general administrative duties
Weigh vehicles in and out, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded against customer accounts
Ensure all customers have valid Duty of Care / Waste Transfer Notes or annual tickets
Obtain and record Waste Carrier’s Licence details on the weighbridge system
Monitor incoming materials to ensure correct billing in line with site pricing
Experience & qualifications
Excellent organisation and time management skills
IT literate (experience using Weighsoft is desirable but NOT essential)
A courteous and polite manner when dealing with customers and drivers
The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment as well as independently
Strong administrative and planning skills with great attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
