We believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries.

We’re looking for a passionate Employability Tutor (Catering) to help drive our café enterprise in Torquay, supporting individuals with additional needs to gain valuable skills and confidence in a real working environment. This hands-on role includes assisting with the day-to-day running of the café, while tutoring and mentoring people in hospitality and catering tasks - from cooking and baking to customer service and cleaning. Ideally, you’ll bring at least a year’s experience in catering and a genuine understanding of the challenges people may face entering the workplace. This post is based in Torquay and involves delivering a mix of education and work-related activity both one-to-one and in groups.

The successful candidate will engage with young people through community delivery to motivate and encourage participation and meet project outcomes. You will support the sustainable integration into the labour market of young people aged 16 to 24, particularly those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCP), complex needs, those at risk of social exclusion and young people from marginalised communities.

United Response is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
