Stores Operative – Huddersfield
Day Shift: Monday–Friday | Rotating 06:00–14:00 & 09:45–18:00
We’re recruiting a Stores Operative to join a busy warehouse team in Huddersfield. This role is key to keeping stock accurate, orders fulfilled on time, and the warehouse organised and safe.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive deliveries, check goods against purchase orders, and inspect for damages
Accurately record and label stock in inventory systems
Store materials in designated locations following company procedures
Pick, pack, and dispatch orders efficiently
Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts
Follow health & safety regulations at all times
Report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisors
What we’re looking for:
Previous warehouse or stores experience (desirable but not essential)
Reliable, punctual, and physically able to handle stock
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Team player with a proactive approach
