About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring, resilient, and nurturing SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive specialist provision in Sheffield. The successful candidate will teach pupils with a range of additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs, or SEMH, delivering personalised, engaging lessons that help every learner progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will work as part of a collaborative team committed to providing the highest standard of education and care for young people with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
Create a positive, structured, and emotionally safe classroom environment
Work closely with teaching assistants and wider SEN staff
Track and report pupil progress effectively
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families
Contribute to wholeSEN strategies and behaviour interventions
Liaise with external agencies and therapeutic teams where needed

What Were Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) essential
Experience teaching pupils with SEN in mainstream or specialist settings
Strong behaviour management and deskills
A patient, empathetic, and proactive teaching approach
Ability to differentiate learning creatively and effectively
A passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for young people
Willingness to undertake additional SEN training
