As a Full-time SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualised support to SEN students, ensuring they have the resources and assistance they need to thrive in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement tailored learning strategies that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities.
Your role will involve a wide range of duties, including, but not limited to:
- Assisting SEN students with various academic tasks, such as reading, writing, and numeracy, to help them achieve their learning goals
- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to students, as directed by the class teacher or SEN coordinator
- Adapting learning materials and resources to meet the specific requirements of SEN students
- Monitoring and recording students' progress, and communicating this information to the appropriate staff members
- Participating in team meetings and collaborative planning sessions to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to supporting SEN students
- Accompanying SEN students on educational trips and outings, ensuring their safety and engagement

You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with both students and colleagues.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a similar educational or SEN-focused qualification. Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with SEN students, would be highly advantageous.
In return for your dedication and expertise, our client offers a competitive salary of £107 - £110 per day, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment. You will have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities, ensuring that you can continually enhance your skills and knowledge.
