Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about tackling the climate emergency to join an expanding renewable energy installation firm. This position is being created due to increasing demand for our services designing and delivering renewable energy solutions for householders and commercial clients.
The Project Support Coordinator will cover project planning and day-to-day delivery support for our renewable projects, taking responsibility for administration, customer and contractor liaison, document control and practical site support. You will report to the Project Coordinator and will receive training and support to deliver the role.
The role will operate from the company’s office in Bracknell, Berkshire.
We would consider part-time applications and flexible working is actively encouraged within the role. Will look to structure hours in a way that works for you, within the requirements of the job, but it is an in-person role.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Act as primary contact for customer and site team enquiries, escalating complex technical or commercial issues to the Project Coordinator.
• Organise up-to-date project records: drawings, survey notes, photos, warranties, permissions and signed paperwork.
• Produce and issue routine project correspondence and status updates.
• Support scheduling and allocation of site team members and materials; and raise purchase orders.
• Check that basic health & safety and quality documentation is in place prior to site starts.
• Manage the materials for the pipeline of renewables projects that are ready for installation.
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure that any delivery delays or issues are promptly resolved.
• Carry out other reasonable administrative tasks to support smooth project delivery.
• Be responsible for prompt communications to ensure a positive experience for our customers.
• Coordinate service and maintenance visits.
Training and development
• Comprehensive induction on company project processes, templates and specialist software.
• Practical on-the-job training for site support tasks and customer liaison.
What to bring
• Excellent MS Office (particularly Word and Excel) skills.
• The ability to quickly learn and master specialist software packages necessary for the role.
• Work independently and within a team.
• Confidence when talking to customers, friendly, well-presented and well mannered
• A willingness to learn and be trained in new skills
• Enthusiasm with a can-do attitude and a drive to succeed
• A desire to do something practical about climate change
You’d be a great fit if you
• Have experience in the renewable energy industry
• Want to work for a company that puts its values first
• Can take initiative and thrive in unfamiliar situations
• Have a strong desire to learn and innovate
• Are thorough, with good attention to detail
• Focus on delivering to agreed timescales whilst maintaining a high-quality service
