Total Social are working with London Borough of Hillingdon who are looking for an experienced locum Children's Social Worker for their Family Help Team.
The Family Help Social Worker role in Hillingdon involves building relationships with children and families, managing complex cases, and working within a supportive locality team to deliver outstanding outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Building: Develop meaningful, relationship-based practices with children and families to drive positive change.
Case Management: Manage a complex caseload with high levels of professional autonomy, coordinating multi-agency plans to safeguard children and support families
Assessment and Intervention: Use a range of assessment and intervention frameworks, providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partners
Team Collaboration: Work within a locality team embedded in a defined geographical area, ensuring services are child-centred and responsive to local needs
Professional Development: Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, and extensive professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifying candidates require at least three years’ post-qualifying experience in direct / permanent employment of an English local authority in children’s services.
