Summary
Job Overview
We are currently recruiting Refuse Loaders to join a busy waste collection team based in Exeter (EX5). This is a physically demanding, outdoor role suited to reliable individuals who enjoy hands-on work and being part of a team.
Working Hours
Early morning starts — 6:00am
Full shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional overtime may be available)
Key Responsibilities
Collecting household and commercial waste along set routes
Walking long distances throughout shifts
Lifting, moving, and loading bins and waste containers onto collection vehicles
Working closely with the driver and crew to complete daily rounds efficiently
Maintaining safe working practices at all times
Providing a professional and courteous presence in the community
Requirements
Must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and continuous walking
Able to work in all weather conditions
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Good awareness of health and safety
Previous waste, labouring, or outdoor work experience is beneficial but not essential
