Summary
Job Summary The purpose of the role is to provide high-quality administrative support to the clinical and management teams while projecting a professional and welcoming image to patients and visitors. The role is primarily administrative but will include reception duties as required to support practice operations. Duties and Responsibilities Duties may include but are not limited to: Administrative Responsibilities Processing insurance reports and medico-legal documentation Managing Subject Access Requests (SARs) in accordance with GDPR Processing referrals via eRS and other external platforms Handling incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence Scanning, coding and filing documents accurately within EMIS Managing and allocating clinical workflow tasks Processing and distributing incoming emails Supporting QOF and other contractual administrative requirements Assisting with audits where required Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records Reception Cover (as required) Receiving and directing patients courteously Booking and managing appointments Handling telephone queries professionally Processing repeat prescription requests in line with practice protocol Registering new patients Managing front desk enquiries efficiently Confidentiality The post-holder will have access to sensitive patient and practice information. All information must be treated as strictly confidential and handled in accordance with GDPR, practice policies and NHS guidance. Health & Safety The post-holder will comply with Practice Health & Safety and Infection Control policies, maintain tidy and safe workspaces, report risks promptly and complete mandatory training.
