Summary
Fundraising Administrator (Education)
Location: Tunbridge Wells
Contract: Part-time Permanent, 15 hours/week, Term-time only (39 weeks/year)
Salary: £9,326.51 per year (pro-rata, FTE £26,393)
Role Overview
Provide administrative, fundraising, and supporter-care support to the Development Department. The role involves donor engagement, data management, campaign support, and general administrative tasks. Ideal for someone interested in education, community engagement, and STEM-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporter & Stakeholder Care:
o Serve as first point of contact via email, phone, social media, and in person.
o Maintain accurate CRM data and acknowledge donations promptly.
o Respond to routine enquiries, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Fundraising Campaign & Communications:
o Assist with administrative tasks for campaigns, mailings, events, and social media.
o Support website updates and alumni engagement.
o Assist with launch and development of Giving Day initiatives.
• Database & Reporting:
o Record donations and donor data accurately in the CRM system.
o Support data hygiene, reporting, and analytics.
• Financial & Administrative Support:
o Assist with invoices, expense claims, and purchase orders.
o Maintain organized digital and paper records.
o Provide general administrative support as required.
• Compliance & Best Practice:
o Work in line with fundraising regulations, GDPR, and safeguarding policies.
o Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• General Duties:
o Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Line Manager.
Person Specification
Experience & Knowledge
• Essential:
o Social media experience (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
o Administrative, customer service, or stakeholder-facing experience
o IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM/databases
• Desirable:
o Fundraising, education, public sector, or community organisation experience
o Interest in STEM education, social mobility, or capital projects
Skills & Competencies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Collaborative approach and professional discretion
• Clear written communication and proofreading skills
• Proactive, flexible, and positive approach
