Summary

As a Truck Handover Specialist, you will play a crucial role as the final and most memorable stage of the customer’s new vehicle journey. Your responsibility is to ensure that every handover is delivered professionally, accurately, and in line with our commitment to “Keeping Your Business Moving.” You will equip customers with the knowledge and confidence they need to operate their new Mercedes‑Benz truck safely, efficiently, and effectively. This is a customer‑facing position that requires strong communication skills, solid technical understanding, and a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional experience.

In this role, you will carry out final vehicle inspections before handover to ensure all standards are met, and you will deliver comprehensive handovers that guide drivers through vehicle setup, controls, and any required digital services. You will demonstrate advanced vehicle features and ensure customers fully understand how to use them. Gathering customer and industry feedback will be an important part of supporting continuous improvement within the sales team and the wider business. You will also conduct post‑delivery follow‑up checks to confirm customer satisfaction, assess vehicle performance, and address any operational queries. Additionally, you may be asked to undertake other reasonable duties as required by the Truck Sales Manager or wider management team in line with business needs.

To be successful in this role, you must hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, with Class 1 (Category C+E) considered desirable. You should be professional, well presented, and able to communicate technical information clearly and confidently. A strong foundational knowledge of HGV components is beneficial, and previous experience with Mercedes‑Benz commercial vehicles is an advantage. Excellent organisational skills are essential, including the ability to prioritise workload, manage appointments, and respond flexibly to ad hoc requirements. You should be confident using technology such as CRM systems and mobile applications, demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and work effectively as part of a team with a positive approach to customer service.
