Summary

We're looking for a Highways Electrician to join our Highways team based in Birmingham.Location: Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

About the RoleAs a Highways Electrician at Kier, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing electrical assets across our highways network. Working within our supportive team environment, you'll use your technical expertise to ensure our infrastructure remains safe and functional while collaborating with colleagues who value your contribution.

What will you be responsible for?As a Highways Electrician, you'll be working within the Highways Electrical team, supporting them in maintaining critical infrastructure. Your day to day will include:

-Carrying out repairs and maintenance on highway electrical assets as part of our reactive programs

-Performing electrical test and inspection works and diagnosing faults efficiently

-Installing lighting upgrades while ensuring compliance with NHSS 8 standards

-Maintaining high safety standards across all work areas

-Contributing to continuous improvement within our highway electrical operations

What are we looking for?This role of Highways Electrician is great for you if:

-You have experience and technical knowledge in the highway electrical sector

-You hold electrical qualifications including Test and Inspection

-You have or are willing to work towards Level 3 NVQ from HEA

-You enjoy collaborative teamwork and building relationships with colleagues

-You're detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
