An exciting opportunity has arisen, and we are seeking a highly motivated radiographer eager to advance their career by specialising in supporting and developing the Radiology IT systems at Milton Keynes University Hospital Trust.
Join us as a Radiographer and be a part of the vibrant, friendly, and inclusive Radiology department. Our welcoming and adaptable Imaging Department is equipped with CT, MRI, Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, Trauma, Acute and General plain film. We are a multi-disciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical staff who provide high quality, user-friendly diagnostic radiology service.

Our PACS team support all of our services, managing an array of modern systems with a cloud-first digital strategy. As pioneers of iRefer CDS integration into secondary care and leading nationally on AI adoption, MKUH are at the forefront of the rapidly developing Radiology IT landscape.
As a vital team member, you will contribute to delivering a forward-thinking diagnostic service, ensuring exceptional patient care aligned with the Trust's core values and upholding high clinical standards to be a mentor for junior staff and students. With the imminent creation of the MKUH Scanning Centre and accelerating cross-regional work, it is really an exciting time to be joining #Team MKUH.
Essential requirements include excellent communication and organisational skills, a dedication to Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and practical knowledge of radiation protection, legislation, and health and safety requirements. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and working knowledge of PACS/RIS systems is also essential, along with a . Be competent and confident to perform a wide variety of specialised diagnostic radiographic examinations (i.e., including trauma, acute and general (TAG) x-ray procedures) within and outside the imaging department, for example on wards and specialised operating theatres
To plan, prioritise and organise own workload within certain clinical areas of the department, e.g., TAG, with support from senior colleagues as required.
Uses the Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS) to ensure archived images are available for review and reporting
