You'll be joining a well‑respected civil engineering contractor delivering high‑profile infrastructure schemes across the region. Your new role
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical delivery of site operations, ensuring works are set out accurately, delivered safely, and meet stringent quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking day‑to‑day setting out with autonomy
- Mentoring and developing Junior Engineers
- Managing site sample and performance testing, maintaining accurate records
- Producing RAMS and completing hazard/risk assessments
- Managing site service plans and issuing permits
- Supporting the QS/Project Manager with information for records and claims
- Monitoring and coordinating temporary works
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Producing and maintaining quality documentation including ITPs, diaries and inspection reports
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident communicator with a strong background working for a main contractor on heavy civils projects.
You should have:
- Proven experience as an Engineer/Senior Engineer
- Strong capability in quality records, reporting and design coordination
- CSCS card and a minimum HND in Civil Engineering (degree desirable)
- Ideally SMSTS, First Aid and experience with temporary works
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Northern Region
- Geotechnical experience is an advantage
