Summary
Location: Plymouth, Devonport Royal Dockyard - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Join our exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth as a Cost Manager within our collaborative KierBAM Joint Venture partnership. In this rewarding role, you'll be responsible for managing and balancing project costs while ensuring quality standards and timelines are met. You'll work in a supportive environment where your expertise in financial analysis and contract management will truly make a difference.
What will you be responsible for?As a Cost Manager, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in delivering projects within budget constraints. Your day to day will include:
-Preparing accurate cost estimates and developing realistic budgets based on project scope
-Analysing financial data and creating clear reports for stakeholders
-Managing contracts, payments, variations, and resolving any claims
-Collaborating with the project team to identify and mitigate cost-related risks
-Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value for materials and services
What are we looking for?This role of Cost Manager is great for you if:
-You have strong knowledge of cost management principles and experience with budgeting software
-You possess excellent numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
-You're confident with Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions and data analysis
-You have effective communication and negotiation skills
-You can balance multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy
