Summary

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant | Leeds | Up to £560/week Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Immediate Start

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to put your degree into practice while making a genuine impact on young people's lives? We're recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across schools in the Leeds area, from EYFS through to post-16, in a role that bridges academic knowledge with real-world experience.

The role

• Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions for pupils with behavioural, emotional, and additional learning needs
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored support strategies
• Put your Psychology background to direct use, helping students regulate emotions, build resilience, and engage meaningfully with their learning
• Gain invaluable, varied experience in a role where no two days look the same

What we're looking for

Essential:

• A 2:1 or above in Psychology
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and young people
• Empathy, patience, and the confidence to take initiative in a busy school environment
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• Prior experience working with SEN children
• TeamTeach qualification (current or expired considered)
