Lasting Impact.”The National Museum of the Royal Navy is a multi-site national museum with destinations in Belfast, Gosport, Hartlepool and Yeovilton with our largest site and headquarters situated in Portsmouth. In addition to our museum and visitor attractions we also develop significant projects and programmes.This is a great opportunity to join the team:‘The Big Repair’ is a critical, transformative project for HMS Victory. This project will ensure the nation’s flagship’s future, full public understanding of her significance, increased audiences and a sustainable place at the heart of our heritage. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Partner to join ‘The Big Repair’ project on a 12-month fixed term contract.This is a key partnering role, supporting a multi-disciplinary workforce. The role covers employment relations, health and wellbeing (including health surveillance), recruitment and retention, learning and development, equity, diversity and inclusion, and supporting culture change.You will play an important role in coaching and developing managers to motivate high-performing teams. Navigating complex or sensitive matters with confidence and consistency and supporting effective recruitment approaches that attract and retain diverse talent.This role involves partnering with the HMS Victory project team, comprising technical specialists, professional staff and skilled tradespeople working on HMS Victory and within a workshop environment. Therefore, you should be able to demonstrate an understanding of basic health and safety practices and health surveillance obligations and a willingness to learn more.What you can bring: We are seeking an experienced HR professional who can build trusted relationships at all levels, communicate clearly and confidently, and provide balanced, constructive challenge where appropriate.
