Summary
Perform blood tests (phlebotomy)independently, safely and competently, following clinical guidelines and safeguarding procedures Prepare patients for blood tests, providing reassurance and age-appropriate communication Accurately label, handle, and transport blood samples in line with laboratory protocols Monitor patients for adverse reactions (e.g. fainting, distress) and escalate concerns appropriately Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards Record clinical information accurately in electronic patient records Provide administrative support within the clinic Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times Support smooth day-to-day running of the service Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Comply with CQC standards, local policies, and health & safety regulations
