This post will be based at Horizon’s Livingston however hybrid working is available with this role.

Hours of Work: 35 per week (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm)

The Asset Officer role will assist the Asset Manager / Senior Asset Officer in the delivery of high quality maintenance services to all customers of the Association. This will include ensuring that void properties are ready for let quickly and efficiently and providing technical assistance to the In-House Maintenance Team and scheduling cyclical works.

About You
You are an organised and knowledgeable construction professional with a solid educational background and a commitment to continuous professional development. The successful candidate will have an HNC (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline or a relevant technical qualification and bring a practical, solution-focused approach to your work.

The role requires a strong understanding of the building industry, including construction methods and materials, and proven experience working within a contracting environment. You are confident using and analysing stock condition survey data to support informed decision-making and service planning.

Highly IT-literate, you are comfortable working with Microsoft Office systems, particularly Excel, and can interpret complex data and present it clearly to a range of audiences. A good understanding of procurement legislation, cost control, and best practice, ensuring value for money and compliance at all times is required for this post.

You understand the legal and statutory requirements relevant to the housing sector and have a demonstrable track record of delivering high-quality services while driving continuous improvement. With a full UK driving licence, you are able to travel as required to meet the demands of the role.
