Location: Gwernydd Arms Public House, Gwernydd Hall Caravan Park, New Mills, Near Newtown/Welshpool, Powys
About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cook/Chef to join our team at the Gwernydd Arms pub. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of quality pub meals, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and helping provide a great dining experience for our guests and holiday visitors. Own transport will be required.
Main Duties:
• Prepare, cook, and present meals to a high standard.
• Ensure food is cooked safely and hygienically.
• Help plan menus and manage stock and supplies.
• Keep the kitchen clean and comply with food hygiene regulations.
• Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work well under pressure during busy times.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role.
• A passion for good food and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a small team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Hours: Full-time, including evenings and weekends.
Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
