Summary

*Work within Hampshire Safeguarding Children's Partnership and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust (SHFT) policy and procedures, prioritising attendance at Case Conferences, reviews and planning meetings. To be responsible for the provision of case conference reports and court reports as required, contributing to safeguarding of all children. To support the Early Help agenda to ensure early intervention. *Work within the framework of the Baby Friendly Initiative for Sustaining Breastfeeding in the Community. *To promote and enhance health and wellbeing to children and their families through assessment, implementation of individualised health care plans and evaluation of care. *To identify and assess children with complex health needs, offering an enhanced integrated service within the multi-agency arena, enhancing equality and opportunity for them. *To be responsible for the quality and management of the RiO electronic patient record and data reporting system within the team. *Promote and support an effective team ethos through the use of excellent communication skills, so that team objectives are understood and achieved *Lead on induction for new staff and support students on placements within the service. *Contribute to the development of SHFT clinical audits, policies, protocols and guidance for the 0-19 service and ensure that individuals within the team are aware of them. *Take responsibility for own personal and professional development; maintain competence, knowledge and skills commensurate with role. *Accountable for own actions and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice and support as necessary. Provide effective leadership and management to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team, in the achievement of the Service and Trust's objectives and priorities. The Trust's success will be dependent on all managers playing an active role to make sure the existing areas of good employment practice are universally embedded within the organisation. Managers will be expected to: *Understand the Trust's key priorities and those for Children's Division. *Complete Annual Appraisals for all your staff which reflect these priorities. Provide management supervision at 3 monthly intervals. *Value and treat your team equally. *Support the Clinical Team Lead in leading change within the service. *Deputise for the Clinical Team Lead as required. To include leading staff team meetings and attendance at CTL meetings. *Ensure management of staff is consistent with the Trust's HR Policies to the achievement of equality, equity and optimum performance. *Lead on values-based recruitment and selection of staff. *Manage environmental, social and financial resources in a way that is consistent with the Trust's Sustainable Development Strategy. Is required to visit children and families in their own home, community, and trust venues. Undertake home visits in line with the Lone Working Policy. Provides and receives complex, sensitive information to patients/relatives and colleagues and with empathy, persuasion and reassurance and ensure information is clearly understood, where there maybe barriers to understanding Actively listens, drawing out information and checks understanding. Empathises with others and considers their needs and feelings. Able to deal with frequent emotional or distressing circumstances.
