Summary
Laly's Pharmacy is a long established independent Community pharmacy. We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team in central Portsmouth.
This will be a temporary position until September 2026 [potentially longer], and across two branches within Portsmouth - Milton Road & Somers Road. There will be extra shifts on an ad-hoc basis only if desired.
Salary: £39k-£65k pro rata (depending on experience)
Work Pattern (30.5 hours a week):
Monday - 0900-1730
Tuesday - 0900-1800
Wednesday-0900-1800
Thursday-1400-1800
You must be a UK GPhC registered pharmacist with experience in community pharmacy. We will also consider applications from provisionally registered pharmacists.
As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for the safe, legal and effective running of the pharmacy business adhering to GPhC required standards on a day-to-day basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medication accurately & in a timely manner
- Adhere to legal & ethical guidelines and compliance
- Ensure patient and branch records are kept accurate & up to date
- Identify opportunities for improvements & growth within the branch
- Build relationships within the branch and wider organisation, as well as with external partners and associates
- Provide various patient services, eg vaccinations & the Pharmacy First services
The ideal candidate:
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with patients and customers, with integrity & compassion
- Strong leadership skills are essential. You will be required to build good team working relationships, encourage learning and development and manage staff with the support of the Branch Lead & HR
- Be motivated to maximise the potential business of the pharmacy, through up to date knowledge, creative problem-solving & enthusiasm
