We are looking for a PA who will have previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and demonstrate a strong understanding of the challenges they may face. You will be able to adapt and tailor support to meet the individuals needs. A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach is essential, alongside a genuine commitment to supporting individuals in a respectful and person-centred manner.
A major aspect of the role is to provide support with the individuals mental health. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate PA to provide high-quality support to an individual experiencing mental health challenges. This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, patient, and committed to promoting dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing.
The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to build positive relationships with individuals. They should be flexible and adaptable, responding effectively to evolving needs and changing circumstances. A sound understanding of special needs is essential to ensure appropriate, inclusive, and effective support is provided at all times.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The role will include providing support with day-to-day organisation and assist the individual in managing their daily routines and activities.
Providing support to help the development of essential life skills, such as cooking, household chores, and support with monthly budgeting.
Foster a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment that encourages confidence, wellbeing, and personal development. Build positive and trusting relationships through patience, understanding, and consistent support, ensuring individuals feel valued and respected.
A major aspect of the role is to offer emotional support and reassurance in a calm, respectful manner. The individual requiring support suffers from poor mental health. Experience working within this area is crucial.

Previous experience of supporting an individual with a learning disability and with mental health challenges.
Hourly Wage:
Employed PA: £15.50
Self-Employed PA: £19.60
