Summary
Background and conditional upon a successful funding award.
We have an opportunity for two intermediate Labour Market Placements via grant funding through Dumfries and Galloway’s Fairer Futures Partnership.
We are looking for two applicants to join us for 6 months paid experience. The hours will be 16 hours per week, where you will receive mentoring and training to support your onward journey to employment.
Eligibility criteria for the grant is;
• You live in Stranraer
• Are a parent of a child up to 19, who is still living at home and in receipt of universal credit
Support through the placement will be offered through the placement host and additionally by a Fairer Futures Keyworker.
This job is for 16 hours a week for a period of 6 months. Help into further employment will also be encouraged.
• Supporting planning, and actual delivery of Stranraer Oyster Festival.
• Support with recruitment of a team of community volunteers to help develop and deliver Stranraer Oyster Festival 2026.
• Manage social media activity for the festival.
• Support with identifying and organising advertising opportunities.
• Support with booking of festival equipment and festival activities.
• Liaising with stall holders to ensure that their requirements are met.
