Summary
The role
This is an onsite, full-time role based in a small friendly team in Leytonstone. As our Life Skills Tutor you will plan and deliver engaging sessions within our Day Opportunities programme, helping to build confidence and independence in adults with disabilities.
You’ll turn your hand to a wide range of topics from healthy lifestyles, citizenship and money handling to literacy, IT and practical skills for life and work. You’ll also provide tailored support in a safe, nurturing environment, working flexibly across the service to meet client needs.
What you’ll bring
Experience supporting adults with learning and associated disabilities
GCSE English and Maths (grade C or above)
Experience teaching or training adults
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide positive behaviour support
Ability to work independently and adapt your approach to meet individual needs.
