Summary
Your new company
You will be joining a well‑established business based in Loughborough, working within a fast‑paced and busy stores environment. The set‑up is similar to a Screwfix‑style trade counter, supporting contractors, engineers and internal teams with materials, tools and stock.
Your new role
As a Stores Person, you will be responsible for managing stock levels, booking deliveries, issuing materials, and keeping the stores organised and running smoothly.
Key duties include:
- Serving contractors and colleagues at the trade counter
- Booking in deliveries and updating stock records
- Picking and preparing requests
- Conducting stock checks and reporting discrepancies
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders and returns
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised storeroom
- General stores support as required
This role is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay: £13.38-£16.38 per hour via PAYE or Umbrella (CIS not accepted).
The position is temporary to permanent following a successful interview after 12 weeks.
Start date: 9th March.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a store, warehouse, stock control or trade counter environment is desirable, though not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicating with contractors, suppliers and colleagues
- Ability to work in a busy, fast‑paced environment
- Reliable, proactive and able to manage your own workload
