Summary

Experienced Electronics Engineer required for our industrial electronics repair and test facility in Trafford Park, Manchester. Repair experience of general electronics, inverters, DC drives, HMI's, PLC’s and power supplies required. Use of standard equipment, such as: multimeter, oscilloscope, adjustable power supply, ESR meter, IC tester, and an array of hand tools is essential - Soldering skills must be of the highest order.

The successful candidate will have the ability to fault find down to component level, in most cases without schematics, reverse engineer circuits, contribute to our test facilities and be willing to go one step further for task completion. A quick learning dynamic and a positive outlook will help keep abreast of the fast paced and varied work environment.

They must have broad electronics component knowledge and understand the limitations and use of a wide range of devices. Functional knowledge of servo motors, servo drives, communication protocols, PLC's and PC architecture would be an advantage, although not essential. Proficiency in using standard Windows software, providing written and verbal technical reports, researching component parameters and keeping notes up to date are essential.

The successful candidate will be a team player, be able to meet deadlines and be customer service orientated. You will report directly to the Workshop Team Leader, who has an open-door policy and encourages technical discussion of electronics problems with the team for expedient solutions.

All electronics backgrounds to be considered [for example hobbyist, domestic, commercial, and industrial] with relevant qualifications and / or relevant experience plus a successful interview.
