The Disability Social Care 0-25 Service has an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join our specialist Disabled Children’s Social Work South Team. We cover Cambridge City, South and East Cambridgeshire and also visit some Children in Care who are supported in settings outside of the authority so some travel may be required.
The team provide a high quality and effective social work service responding to the needs of disabled children and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines. We assess need, plan and deliver focused intervention to safeguard children, and promote positive outcomes.
This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a lively and dynamic team on a full time, permanent basis. We are a strong team who communicate well and support each other to put children at the centre of everything we do. We would love for you to join us.
The role is hybrid with a mix of home, community and office working. The office is currently located in Fawcett House, Trumpington, Cambridge but is likely to move to another South Cambridgeshire location in April. (currently proposed to be Sackville House, Cambourne, CB23 6HL)
We support flexible working requests from day one of employment and so we are open to discussing different working patterns, in line with the needs of the service.
